has anyone thought about swapping an xD dash into their xA? or does anyone know if it would fit?

If I had to guess, the XD dash is going to be too big for the car, since it is a bigger car all together, ours being on a echo platform and the xd on the corolla platform(I believe). If you have mad modding skills, then anything is possible I guess!

 

you're probably right..the xD is definitely sitting on a bigger frame. i'm just so sick of the xA dash =/ the yaris one is nicer too....

LOL. really though, i didn't like the xD at first but it's growing on me it is kinda beefy though..i mean compared to be xA

 

You should be able to swap your dash for a yaris one. But you should go to a dealership or find somebody you know to see if the connection points for the instrument panel and the screw holes line up. Fabricating these brackets is tedious and can get expensive quick.

 

yeahh i was trying to find out about that before i considered the xA dash. what are my chances of finding an xD or a yaris in the junkyard? lol -___-

Actually, the xD is roughly the same size inside. It's just much chunkier on the outside.

I'd give it a shot. Take some measurements if you can find an xD dash somewhere.

 

might as well.. i'd have to figure out if it's possible to rewire everything for the cluster to be on the left instead of in the center..but if the xD dash doesn't work out, i definitely like the yaris dash better than our xA one..

 

xd is on the yaris platform. I doubt it will fit. You might also have to swap door panels as well.
