Default moonroof pix

It was very difficult to find examples of moonroofs on the new xB when I was deciding whether or not to get one, so I thought I would post pics of my moonroof. I did it through the Scion dealer ($$$$) so that it would be covered under warranty if it starts leaking. It's a totally different car with the moonroof. We love it.

The wifey "had to have it" and the only way I could justify it was by rolling it into the loan.

Keep her happy, and heck if it's rolled into the loan and you get a full warranty on it then that's worth something right there too. Enjoy in good health.

That's the one thing I forgot about when I went down and bought mine. I've been kicking myself for it ever since. I think that I can get it done here locally for about 1K next year.

It sure looks good! Like Uber said, you've got to keep the little woman happy!

The one big inconvenience I see about doing it aftermarket is the downtime, they need your vehicle for 3 days or so if I recall correctly from last time I looked into it.

That's no good... Hmmm. I'd better think about that one some more.

Thanks for the heads up!

Yep the aftermarket place I want to go with has been in buisness for over 25 years. The do mostly dealer installs. They want 1250$ for theirs with a LIFETIME warranty! Also like 'uberspeed' says.. they need the vehicle for 3 days...
So I will wait till summmer so I can ride my chopper around while I wait for the car....

No problem

One more thing to consider, if you get it aftermarket then you have to take it back to that place to get it serviced if it ever has issues. Through the dealership it's their issue, take it back to them and they have to figure it out.
I can see myself going to a webasto dealer, getting it installed and then the place shuts down... What's going to happen? I don't want to drive to another dealer that may be far away. Even in the unlikely event they send someone out to me, I doubt it'll be the same day. I haven't looked into the infrastructure of webasto nor do I know how they deal with issues, just speculating for a bit.
In IT we call it "one neck to choke" when you bundle things from one provider/source, makes it an easier support structure.
