This may be a dumb question, but did you push the power button?

everything else in the car works fine. Yes i started the car... the deck just has no power. All the plugs are connected. Is there a reset on the deck itself? i checked the fuses under the hood... the are good. I have installed a few stereos in my day so i do know what im doing usually.

Sound like a defective install/wiring kit. It would suck to do it all againg so I would check it all with a power light indicater.

did you check the fuse inside the car? There is a fuse box inside the car that has a radio fuse.

look underneath the driver side dash. You have to physical lay on your back looking up into the dash. You will see a fuse panel. Other than that, the owners manual will tell you where to look for the fuse box inside the car.

Fuses are pretty easy to blow. accidentally touching the wires even for a split second will do it. I've done it myself on past installs.

Get a hold of a digital multimeter and check for voltage going into the HU. If you were able to do the installation, you should know which wire going in is the power wire (only saying this because I have no clue off the top of my head which wire it is). If you have voltage going in, then that circuit is fine. Also check the voltage of the battery, if the voltage going into the HU is EXACTLY the same as battery voltage, then you have no ground (or an open somewhere along the line between the HU and ground). A DMM can be your best friend in situations like this.

Check your wiring before you just go in and replace the fuse, if you've got power shorted to ground, you're just going to keep popping that fuse over and over again. The fuse blew out for a reason.
