number 4??? there is only 3 options:D:D:D
the first 3 pics is is a complete set of the gauge cluster ( water temp, fuel, speed and rpm)
and there is 3 options
blue/white (first pics from left)
red/blue ( middle one)
blue/red ( last pics)
yes it would be really nice if the needle is white but it would be easy to see it in daylight???? without any color????

#4 means the fourth pic. first row is pictures 1, 2 and 3. 2nd row, 1st pic is the 4th. anything with red in the gauges looks dumb when combined with the blue. just do blue gauges with white needles. for all three parts. NO RED.
just my opinion of course.

Blue/White, I have it and it looks great when it's finished. Solid blue and Blue/red is too dark and hard to see, the white/blue has a real nice OEM look to it.

However I wish I had the reverse LCD and white needles.

I also agree the blue/white combination looks nicer and more OEM. I personally have it with white needles and reversed LCD odometer and love it to death.

I have done a blue/red 2-tone swap on a customer's car and it did turn out nice, but I would personally stick with the blue/white. This pic is of my customer's car (sorry for the color distortion - blue was deep blue and red was deep red - as my old camera sucked):

Yeah oops, didn't mean to say white needles as they are in fact clear needles. I just never painted them after removing the stock orange paint.
Here is a pic of a similar setup (not deep blue) I did for a different customer that shows the white needles (I swear this time, lol):

ok..so the clear needle is awful and the white is okay...
but i still want to know how does it look like during day time............
does anyone know if i want color changing needles from white or blue to red then the needle has to be clear or what?

Well the clear needle isn't awful in person, so just be mindful of the pictures. And yes the clear needle is visible during the day, but obviously the white needle will be more visible.
But honestly, when was the last time you were driving down the road believing you were driving a certain speed and then be utterly suprised when looking down at your gauges? Even the clear needle is visible enough, trust me on that one. So when worrying about daytime visibility, any option will work fine. It really comes down to the look you want at nighttime.
I haven't worked with any color changing needles, but I would believe clear needles with different colored film would definitely work.

(that break in white in my speedo is cause my needle broke :/)

and btw, if you plan on doing this, you'd need white leds not blue ones. the blue comes from the "filters". :D
blue/ white ftw! haah
edit: oh yeah i found my old set up with blue needles.. hope this helps your decision

I personally like my blue numbers, red needles. And as for the HVAC mine looks just like the pic, only difference is the AC and recirculate buttons are blue, and the heaters when pushed light red

btw sorry if the colors are a bit off. But it is blue/red.
And the blue numbers/white digits/white needle is the new lexus design for gauges (for those that care to say "lexus" lol). Its sharp.

^^yeah i was thinking to go with blue/white and red needles...
white needle looks bad during daytime.. blue needles looks fine
but on this pics.. the needle is just tooo dark

Just FYI the dual tone gauges are done by using a vynal film on the back (Squall dont shoot me if i said the wrong material lol)
Pretty much its all light by white LEDs and the blue marks are just a film covering the back when the light passes through. Its not purely on LEDs

aham... i see.. but the last pic what i posted is perfect for me... u just want brighter needles... and it has to be color changing...
but i STILL DONT KNOW if i will have the color changin needles ( from blue to red) then the main /basic color of the needle will be painten to white.. or blue.. maybe it has to be clear or what?

the white isnt too bad in the daytime imo. i havnet had any problems reading them. the blue in the picture on the needles are a little bit darker than they really were, however you could also use a diffrent blue (i used a royal blue) or even try thinning out the acrylic so light can pass through it easier.
vinyl isnt the only way
. ive seen many a technique used, even professional gel frames, but whatever makes it work ;)
