Default for those using thier steelies for the winter

i'm going to be getting two sets of sportmax 002 16's for my box and going to be modding the whole suspension with new fender flares and such to make it a permenant settup which means i wont be using my steelies anymore.

because of thise, i have a set of tire chains for the snow/ice that will be useless for the new wheels.

seeing as it has yet to snow or freeze up enough to have a need to use chains, i'm starting to feel that i have spent $170 on a set of chains that i will probably never use.

these chains are for 185/60/15 wheel/tire combos, diamond pattern settup on reinforced chain link. they also come with rubber chain tighteners to help keep chains tight to the wheel to prolong the life span of the chains. still brand-new, baught them on christmas.

so here's what i'm going to do. if it comes to the point that i never use these chains what so ever and they continue to sit in the rear hatch of my xB... the first person that is closest to me localy to speak up, the chains are yours. chains will be available for grabs starting March 1st if not used.

Default

because of the upcomming snows, i've gona ahead and fitted the chains in preperation for nastey conditions here on my hill *we have wrecks here almost daily during this time of year before of our little hill here.*.

at this point, about 99% durability is left over and chains will still be up for grabs once this all passes for the year as i doubt i will be going anywhere for a while.

pics here:

they are really tight and secure, i fitted them, took a quick stroll around the parking lot to adjust and re-tighten them. much nicer then the Z cables you get from the tire shops. non of that "thump thump thump thump" feeling, it's more like driving on gravel. if i'm lucky, i wont need to keep the chains on if it doesn't get deeper then 2 inches.
