Default 18x8 225/40/18 on TRD drop rubbing ???

Hey Guys, I have the TRD drop, I have AXIS Decades 18x8 35mm fit with Nitto NT555 225/40/18

I have significant rubbin on the driver side under almost no load, just myself (185 lbs)

The passenger side rubs when I hit a large bump or speed bump, and the rears kinda squeak on the speed bumps.

I measured the height from the top of the tire to the fender and the driver side is 1/4" lower than the passenger side in the front. The dealership said that it's basically the spring sagging because of my weight on that side for 2 years.

Anyone else with TRD drop have problems with this type of setup? I even rolled my fenders and still rubbing...

i wouldnt think that the trd drop would sit low enough to rub like that. do you have a blown strut thats makin the car sit real low?

I would have to have two blown struts if that were the case, i mean I have read that people usually see a 1/4" difference between the two side but the TRD are only supposed to be a 1.25" drop from stock.

I can only fit one finger between the tire and the fender.

I took it to the dealer and they looked at it and inspected it and all, they didnt seem to think there was anything abnormal.

If you can fit only one finger between their I'd strongly suggest you take it to another dealer. Something is not right if you're only on TRD's.

What if I slapped some Nitto NT555 215/35-18's? They have an overall diameter difference of 2", that would probably stop the rubbing...

No because the Enkei's are the same size as you have now, and the TRD drop was made so it wouldn't rub with the Enkei's. The dealer doesn't know wtf they're talking about, they're just trying to avoid having to replace struts. Take it to another dealer and if they say the same thing, ask to see paperwork showing measurements of ground clearance. I will bet money they won't be able to supply it at that minute.

They told me the Enkei's are 18x7.5, which is why they don't rub. The TRD rim is 18x7.5 as well.
