Default xB: 3rd party H\U swap (and a few questions)

I just replaced the 06' stock H\U with a 1-Din Alpine cda-9883. I got it from Crutchfield so it was on sale (Bonus!) and came with the wiring harnes, instructions, and mounting kit with the cubby hole. It went very smooth and it works great.

My question is about the connections that were on the back of the stock H\U. I obviously found the primary speaker & power plug and the plug with the rear speakers. No troubles. I then also found a plug for the SIRIUS that came free with the car that went to the box under the passenger seat. (I removed it because I don't want the service and it expired). Then, there was another plug with 4 or 5 wires of a total capacity of about 10-12 wires (I think). I'm guessing it was for the AUX port and maybe something else, but I'm not sure. Everything works that I would expect with the new H\U, but I wanted to check.

As a side note, this unknown plug was on the far right rear of the stock H\U if you were looking at it from the back with it right-side up.

When swapping the headunit, the only thing that gets plugged in from the stock harness is that two piece that plugs directly into the Alpine harness... the rest of it just chills back there.

I just put the CDA-9884 in mine... good unit.

Yeah, I kinda figured since everything seems to work. Just curious what that other plug was for. I actually removed the harness and the box for the SIRIUS.

Yeah, I think you'll be very pleased with your receiver. I know I like mine and the previous two I've owned. I like that mine came with all the extra stuff and the iPod full speed connection. I just decided to save the $30 for the internal EQ.

Thanks again.

Can you give me a rough breakdown of what each plug is for on the back of the stock HU?

I am trying to figure out if I can get a plug and attach HD radio to the open outlet in the back.

Press AUX and get the HD radio? I hope
