ARE YOU @#$@$#$ KIDDING ME !? chipped windshield
I am so f@$%ing ____ed off. Today coming from work i got yet ANOTHER chip on my windshield. WTF !!!!!!! I have 6 of them now and only have 7K miles on the car. I have had cars for years and this has NEVER been a problem. What the hell gives !
.........I need to break something
.........I need to break something
I do drive on a hw about 20 mins but i have done the same driving with all of other cars. This is getting out of hand. I need to email scion or something. I don't know what to do. The worse part is one of the chips is right in my veiw and its distracting
Its kind of hard for it to be a design flaw. It will mainly just be chocked up to bad luck and road conditions. I went forever without ever having chips in my windshield in my last car. Then I got three in one year. Then moved up to MN and had to learn to live with more chips due to the winters and stuff on the roads. The tC is fine so far other than the tiny ones you can only see in the direct sunlight. The saturn (my previous car that I still have) has some good ones. The 4Runner doesnt have so many, but it is taller and has the bug deflector, which causes airflow to miss the windshield a bit.
The shape of the car (its aerodynamics) the angle of the windshield, the height off the ground and the size of the windshield all play a role in it. We have a large windshield, so the odds of it getting hit are better. It isnt something wrong with your glass or something toyota will be responsible for.
It sucks, but that is just one of those things
Dont feel too bad. I have taken large rock hits right in the fogs twice, breaking two of them. Not cheap, and not the best luck in the world

pics? everybody talks about chips but they never put up any pics. how bad are they? same problem here. i posed pics of mine, right in my line of view. Went to windshield place, just put resin and cured it with uv light. Didnt change the appearance at all. Everyday I get a nice reminder while im driving and it stares at me in the face.

I live in rock truck city.
I drive with about 3 each time I go anywhere ,so the streets are loaded with rocks and dirt.
I have yet to get a crakc but I do have little nicks here and there.
It really doesnt bother me to much, im not as **** as some people at the paint

I've got to small divets in my windshield. They're small enough the insurance company wouldn't fix 'em. Mine are both dead ahead of each seat, up towards the top. I don't notice it unless I'm looking at a high billboard or a plane or something.
