I know this has been kicked around this forum for awhile but I can't really discern a definite answer. I want to buy a certain wheel. 17X8. Wheel comes in either 35 or 48 offset. From what I can tell from the postings is that the 35 offset would/might work and be most flush. Would the 48 offset be too much? Would the 35 offset rub at all? Sorry if the answer is out there and I missed it.

From what i've been reading, the stock offset is 39. If you run the 35et wheel, it will push the wheel out less than a quarter inch.

the 48 would tuck the wheel in more.

yes but that's on a 6" wide wheel.. your effective "poke" on a 8" wide +35 compared to stock 6" +39 will be 1.15" of "out"

17x8's should work as long as the offsets are within 28-41mm. The 35mm should work great.

I want to do a 17x8 35 offset set up but im running with Tanabe DF210s. I know playindagamewell is using a TRD spring set up and has no issues. Can I even do that set up with the suspension I am running? And what tire size would I be looking into?

Should be ok Jonas, look at the 225.40.18 for the size. It would be a hair shorter than stock but it should fit like a glove. If you want to look at the 235.40.18's look into some of the narrower running brands like Falkens.

Im not doing 18" wheels im going with 17" wheels but 8"wide. So you mean like 225/40R17 then and I shouldent have a rubbing issue?

My mistake, the 225/45R17 will work nicely.

hey jonas i got 17x8's +35 comming i'll let you know how it goes.my 18x8.5 +35 was rubbing bad on df's

any updates on the 8's?
