Default So I drove my car with the S/C for the first time today...

I noticed that the temperature reading was slowly decreasing until it got slightly close to the line above the "C" not overheating or anything, but still found that odd.

I wasn't speeding, i was at 40-60 mph and switching gears at x<3000 Rpm's, I came to a stop and the temp went back to normal.

is this normal?

with the s/c you have a thermostat that runs much cooler than the stock one due to the increased engine temp with forced induction...if it's reading at the small line right directly above the C...then that's a problem...but if it's the larger line above that, but still below average temp in the middle...then that's normal

Lol ok, I made it seem like it was at the C, yea its within that "normal" range. Just kinda threw me off a little.

Thanks Buddha

Talked to the guy at Toyota said it needed no breaking in....

I didn't really play into that so I've been taking it easy, I did gun it once to see what it was like and it was....FUN...

amazing difference compared to stock

if a clutch needs 500 miles of break-in time, i think it would be best to just take it easy on the supercharger for atleast one tank of gas, just to make sure everything gets settled.

actually, it does have a breaking in period...you wanna take it kinda easy for the first few hundred miles...getting on it occasionally, but not much...so the ecu "learns" how u drive and how it should respond

Yea I thought that was the more appropriate way to handle it for now.

Besides I just got a ticket for speeding so i'm trying to play it cool for a while
