Default Power trunk open / ?+close? / on a tC

How would this best be accomplished? Do I need an aftermarket alarm with relays and all that ____ just to be able to pop the hatch remotely? Or is there something that could take a signal from my factory key and do this without an alarm?

Anything that could power it down too, like I saw recently- a power hatchback door on a minivan?

my tC is definitely an everyday driver and I'm forever loading and unloading from the hatch. Would just make life easier.

Actually, just thought about it - the tC's hatch release button is electronic any way, finding a way to route a remote to the opener wouldn't be too difficult relatively.

it's just a linear actuator. pretty common trick in better stereo shops. take it to them - tell them what you want, leave your phone number and pick it up when they're done.

most likely you can't use the factory remote

most likely it's not going to power up and down like a navigator without $$$$ and $$$$$

but you can have it "pop" up a few inches and rest in an open position like most ordinary cars with a trunk button
