Default Offset question

I want to get a staggered look when I order my new rims. Besides the obvious choice of going with the larger width in the back, is there any way to achieve that look by changing offsets? The 18's I want don't come in a larger width than 8 for our lug pattern. Could I do 18x7.5 in the front, and 18x8 in the rear? What offsets? I'm a wheel noob, so any help would be great.

Do you want them to be flush with the fender or tucked in a bit?

I would do about a 32 in the front and 35 in the rear.
