In case you're still looking, there are a couple of items you can get. One I can't remember the name of (sorry) and the other is made by PAC:

http://www.pac-audio.com/products/pr...el%20Interface

Also, you could check out crutchfield.com and choose your stereo then click the accessories link. When I did a search on the AVIC-D3 it brought up the appropriate part.

Edit: I just re-read your post. Now I'm not sure if you meant the steering wheel controls or just an actual on-stereo ipod control. If it's the wheel controls follow the above advice. If it's the other, then I'm not certain. Best bet would be to call Kenwood's CS. Good luck.

My Pioneer premier stereo is IPOD ready & I can control it with the head Unit.. You just hook up the IPOD with the supplies cable & toss it in your glove box.. Are you sure you cannot do that with this new kenwood?? Did you read thru your Kenwood book?? Did you get a IPOD conection cable with it??? jh I just checked crutchfield for you... Looks like your particular HU needs this cable...

The pictures shows the plug for the IPOD, then goes into 2 seperate plugs..1 for USB & another 1/8" mini stereo jack for AUX........Both have to be plugged in for your IPOD to play thru your HU.. & thanks to xserverences's link....... scroll to page 31 & you'll see just what you want to do.... good luck... jh
