Alpine Iva-205
If it works like all the other Alpine decks I've installed, (haven't had the chance to install a W205 yet) you have to send signal to two wires in a specific order. Foot break (+ signal), then the parking brake (- signal). There are devices sold on ebay that do all of the work for you once they are wired up, or you could do like I always did for my CVA's, just use a pair of rocker switches mounted somewhere discretely. You can pick them up for about $3 at Radio Shack.
I have the same unit and I can watch dvd while driving. The best thing for that is buy the TR-7 also known as alpine bypass interface and installed it. It will allow you to do what you want to do. Trust me I have the bypass interface. Hope it helps!
