Default Back windows: what % tint is used ?

I performed a search, but I did not find a response I was looking for.

What % are the windows tinted on the back two door windows and back hatch window ?

I would like to tint the front 2, but I want to make sure it matches ?

Every tint is a little different. I used 18% and it is almost a perfect match, however it reads 14% on the police meter.

Well it's not tint. The rear glass is "smoked" which means it's actually embedded IN the glass. It doesn't block heat and uv rays the same tint does.

Normal tint is a film.

It's about 20%, but matching it perfectly would depend on the type of film used, since they all vary slightly.

To have all the windows block the sun, you can have the rear windows tinted lightly, and tint the front two dark so that they'll all match.

i got 20% on the front to try and match, but much its darker than the rears. its even noticable when you look at it from the outside. i think i went with 30 or 35% after and it looks better. of course your not gonna get a perfect match cause of the rear windows being smoked.

I worked at a Tint shop for a few years, 20% is the match for every SUV and Van out there (and xB).

not true, you cant match it perfectly.
the best for the xb would be 35% film. matches very well. i remember this was discussed before and i posted a link to a picture that shows 35% on a camo xb.

thats sra camo xb drivin and me big_jim ridin shotgun. you can tell in the picture that the tint looks good together, but it still dont match. hope this helps.

Jim.

35% would be way too light. 20% is as close as you are going to get (some companies sell it as 18%).
