Default Super Loud Air Horns :)

Ok, so I installed these Super loud air horns from harbor freight (I know i'm not the first)

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=40134

Anyway, they are definitely not as loud as train horns and NO, I'm not going to use them to scare people-- I basically just wanted louder horns because where I live, nobody looks before merging, backing up, etc... and having loud horns is better than than the stock one--

Here they are -- just the horns alone

And with the compressor and tubing

And you can see them through the grille somewhat

And here's the URLs to the sound-- and I know, I know, the alarm makes my lights go all crazy...and I'm pretttty sure before these were installed, the lights didn't do that...but I can't be certain....

Horn: http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fusea...deoid=30489606

Alarm: http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fusea...deoid=30512929

So....the lights aren't supposed to do that...right? haha

lol, thats pretty cool. I was in a casino parking lot and some dude honked his air horn, which sounded like a boat horn. i almost crapped my pants. after i got over the initial shock and stopped trying to dodge the flying boat i knew was coming at me, i couldnt stop laughing. people in vegas dont know how to merge at all, i think an air horn would be hilarious

Hahaa don't worry, I don't bother with people who cut me off haha there's no point b/c they already cut me off haha I use it more for people who don't see me and try to merge into me =/

Nice idea, but I think I would've painted them black before I installed them to avoid seeing them through the front grille.

Although maybe it's not that noticeable in person..

is it true these horns have a 2-3 second delay from pressing the horn button to actually hearing the noise?
i'm interested in a set.

Nah, in person you can barely see em-- You have to look closely in bright daylight to see them through the grille =]

Hehe yeah I don't know what's up with my lights-- I'm sure they didn't do that before these horns were put in....It looks like my tC is having a seizure!!

Hmm, i've never heard of that before, but there is no delay- works just like a regular horn, although I did hook it up to work with the horn button in the steering wheel-- Maybe that's true if you hook it up so that you still have your stock horn through the steering wheel and you use the super loud horns through a separate button you put in ..

Haha yeah he's the biggest Domo I could find-- he sits in the passenger seat with the seatbelt on-- he's my driving buddy (And NO, I don't go in the carpool lane with him haahah)

Those are cool. I've got an ooogha horn installed to a switch in my tC. Love it to death. I am trying to find a place to install train horns but just can't seem to find a place.

hehe yeah train horns a bit harder to find places to mount-- I was lookin' at horn blaster 4 pc train horn set (just the basic one) but I think the longest horn is almost 20 inches! and there's a 1.5 gal tank along with the compressor and 3 other horns hehe

yeah I am just gonna mount the air tank in the hatch. The compressor can just go under the car and the horns i am trying to find a place for. I have an Injen exhaust so it created a lot of space but still need to figure out a way to mount them. Prolly gonna have to make a custom bracket. I am getting the Hornblaster HB4's when I finally do get it done.

Sweeeet I want the K5LA but $2279 is kinda steep!!! I'm going to get the basic Black finish 4pc train horn kit from hornblasters for my integra-- most likely going to be mount the horns in the rear and the tank in the trunk as well =] Should make for good times ;)

Yeah I really need to get under the car and work on finding a spot for the Train horns. Need to have them installed before I got o Scrapin the coast this year.

I also need to have my alarm guy install it to the remote on my viper pager.

Sweeet ! =] you'll have to put sound files up so I can compare --the horns I have are definitely not the loudest I've heard but they were only $20 so I couldn't go wrong there hehehe
