Anyone got this combo? Are you lowered? Looking to see if I can get away with it. Going wide fenders in front to clear but didn't want to modify rear. Running on Progress Springs. Just trying to get more traction.

 

265 = Rub, especially if your lowered, I'd recommend 235 or 225, its a bit of a stretch, but you shouldn't rub

 

Well running 245's right now with tons of room. I know 255's are no problem. JUst seeing who is runnning 265's.

now i can see running a larger wheel in the rear for looks but why in the hell do you need a 265 out back?

 

Well actually it is not for looks. I just am going to run a 265 in front and want to run the same size tire in back. I'm using wide fenders to get them on in front. Got serious traction issues even with LSD upgrade and 245's. Trying to get a bit more width to at least get it to hook up in 2nd gear from a roll. If it is this bad with the stock motor, you can imagine how bad it will be with new motor. I'm also going with 3.90 final drive to help a bit with off the line traction.

 

if u run 265 tire, what size wheel u need?

how much power do u have?

 

Right now 360 WHP on 93 octane 440 WHP on race gas. With new motor probably around 450-500 WHP on 93 octane thus why I want a wider tire in there. At track it runs M/T drag slicks on Volk TE37's so only worried about street.

 

well honestly it doesnt matter what u run in the back as long as it looks nice, i wouldnt worry. just try to stick the widest tire up front, also at that power i doubt any street tire will keep traction on a fwd car.
