Bye Bye Hotchkis! DONE!
So I've started my Springtime suspension plans... They include replacing shocks/struts (still OEM) and springs (Hotchkis). As well as new tires.
Shocks/Struts -> Tokico HP - $342 (ebay) - ORDERED, SHIPPED, INSTALLED
Springs -> H&R Sport - $219 (showstoppers!) - ORDERED, SHIPPED, INSTALLED
Tires -> Falken Azenis RT615 - $468 (DiscountTire) - ORDERED, SHIPPED
Those were the best prices I could find. And I searched EVERYWHERE. If you find a price lower than that.. you should probably buy them. Even AllSprings.com couldn't beat the price on the H&Rs and they're supposed to be tops for H&R prices. Not sure if I'll be doing the spring/shock install yet or not. I may get a couple autox people to help if I can. First event is 5/4, so I kinda need to get on this.

The Hotchkis have become a bit rough... but that is probably a little b/c I'm still on stock struts at 58k miles. But I wanted something a little more comfy but still quality. And I'm not as concerned about how far the drop is. The H&R Sport are 1.4"/1.3" f/r I think. So it's a touch more than TRD but not as drastic as my Hotchkis.
Thanks. It'll be a good time. I just can't wait to see how it rides on the new setup. I've become so used to a sort of rough ride (it's not awful or anything) that it's just going to be strange to ride in anything else.

Giggity giggity.
Sorry... I've got a test tomorrow, and I'm both brain-dead, and procrastinating.
Glad to see another autoX'er on the board.
The more mild drop is probably going to be better handling wise for you than the Hotchkis. 1.4 should be just about perfect on the tC for handling based upon what others have found. More than that and you are starting to throw the geometry off.
Itching for our first two events, which are May 3 and 4. Azenis will be ordered tomorrow for my other set of rims!

I was going to go with the H&R coilovers... but it's a bad time for me to be spending even more (new apartment this weekend). $570 for springs/struts is still a bit better than $1000 for coilovers. Maybe some day.
