Stop the beeping when door is open?
I've been searching around for an answer similar to how to stop the car from beeping when the seatbelts aren't fastened, but all I've found so far was messing around with wires and relays. Any help appreciated!

he did not ask how to remove the beeping noise while driving without the seat belts. if you guy can read his original post, he states it as an example cause he wants to have his door opened and the key in without it beeping. dude here is my only solution to it. put the key in accessory mode and it will stop beeping, you know when the lights at the bottom of the gauges turn on for example, battery, check engine light, oil...
wow gotta teach you guys how to do teardowns on the interior
pop your driver side lower plastic piece ....the one that the rubber on the door rests on when you shut it pull it straight up it should pop out... after that pull the back inside panel out a little bit you will see 2 wires and a plug that go to a bumpstop looking thing ..unplug it
problem solved

This will work for all Scion / Toyota.
It can be turned off.
1.) Power on (ignition on will do)
2.) Set trip/ODO to ODO (if its already on ODO you will have to cycle through)
3.) Power off
4.) Power on w/brake on
5.) (Within 6 seconds), press and hold the ODO for 10 seconds or more
6.) While STILL holding the ODO *after 10 seconds*, buckle BOTH seatbelts. Now release the ODO
7.) You will see in the trip display either a "b on" or "b off"
8.) Press the ODO to toggle between "b on" or b off" YOU WANT "b off"
9.) Now power off.
If battery is disconnected, you may lose your setting. Default is always "b on"

Works like a charm.

He isn't asking about seatbelt beep!!!!! He's asking about the beep when your key is in the ignition and the doors are open.
Isn't the buzzer on the gauges or something like that? Just desolder it and you should be good. I think I read that somewhere....could be wrong I'll try and search for it.

Yes I was only using the seatbelt beeping as an example since I don't wear it when I am in a parking lot or going a short distance down a residential road. I thought there would be a similar easy solution as the seatbelt beeping but I don't think its worth all the trouble to desoldering stuff and unplugging wires that might turn off something else. Thanks for the comments!
