Premium HU SW RCA output issue

Premium HU SW RCA output issue
Hi guys..
When I got my Sub + Amp installed, the shop said that when they plugged in the SW RCA to the back of the Premium Head Unit, there was no sound output. I checked for myself and there is no sound when using the SW rca jack. We had to splice the rear to get the SW working... Anyone else had this issue or have a fix?
Thanks

turn off the head unit (with the PWR button no tricks here)
press and hold the MENU button and it will beep and a separate menu will pop up
turn the wheel and find the subwoofer tab and turn it on!
but i heard that the pre-outs have quite low voltage output but that can be easily solved with gains settings on the amp

Yes... Now take it back to the shop & have 'em re-hook up those SW RCA jacks.. Those Line level outs to your amp just wont do.......... I mean they will, in a pinch , but,... just you'll see the difference when you switch back to the SW RCA's!!! 50X better!!!! goood luck..... jh

but by your description you do kinda have a line-out converter behind your head unit taking up space and creating excess heat. if you dont have any tools you should take it to a proper shop so that they can remove it and tape up all the wires so there isnt any fire hazard!
