Spring is here and I finally got the ability to get my new Seibon carbon fiber SC style hood on !! w00t !! Drop it off tomorrow morning to get it clear bra'd.

I believe it does^^

I really like the Seibon hood, but i'm on the fence about the scoop (for me). I like the OEM look, but cooling the motor is a good
thing as well.

I've always preferred a reverse cowl design. No need for the muscle car look on a box, IMO.

Actually the vent is not closed off so yes it does "scoop" air into the engine compartment. Thought about switching my intake from a CAI to a short ram to see if it might benefit more from the extra air flow.

it wont matter because all intakes for the xB end up in the same place. (right behing the fog light)

If you really want to take advantage of the scoop, look into the AFE intake. On that one, the cone sits where the stock box used to...

i was more interested for my 3S project being it's a much hotter running engine and i'm thinking of sequential turboing it too so that extra air flow would be nice just to have for extra cooling.

actually I'd LOVE to get the top half of it painted black but thinking that's gonna be expensive.
