I WANTED TO PAINT MY DASH BUT WIT ITS TEXTURE PATTERN ITS GOIN TO LOOK ALL SLOPPY SO IS THERE ANYONE THATS SANDED AND PAINTED THERE DASH?

 

I have not done it... YET... But Im sure its very similair to sanding and smoothing the pillars... Those I did.. What I did was hit them with 220 on a DA to get the texture down, then sprayed some adhesion promoter and some HOK filler primer and everything was nicey nice smooth.... Then paint away.

The top part of the dash is not to bad, but the bottom part of the dash is a pain in the a$$. The doors are not to bad either, just sand, prime, sand, prime and repeat like 40 times, lol

Thanks stu! Just dropped it off to a very reputable shop last saturday and it will actually be done in about 6 weeks finally, lol i havent even driven it in over 8 months now. cant wait to start finally hitting some shows without primer, lol

 

Thats like mine!!! I have it at another shop too. I got sick of looking at it. I havent driven mine since February of last year!

 

That sucks man, When you looking to get yours back? Question can you get katzkin leather kits? TTYL

 

Ive been going down just about everyday to work on it at the other shop. Im thinking next week it should be all set. I really want to paint it this week though.

As for Katzkin, not anymore. I dont have an account with them and the contact that I had just up and left.....

Not going really crazy on the paint. Two colors and a little bit of airbrushing... Should be pretty clean looking.
