about 7 hours. we had all the right tools and even an air compressor to make things faster, but we ran into a few problems like bending the brake shield when jacking the rotors for support.

Whoah now, how bad is this spring install on this car?

I've done about ten diff installs now, and the last car took about 3.5 hours for springs, struts, upper mounts, and we were taking our time...

the install turned out fine, we cleaned everything up... the brake shield had to be fixed by chisseling (sp?) it a lil further back so it wasnt hitting the rotor. other than that everything turned out fine.

what took up most of my time was trying to take everything apart so nothing breaks. the front of the car, the black shroud and wipers that needed to be remove first before gaining access to the strut mount bolts. and the rear, you need to take out the smaller compartments next to the spare tire and some other stuff.

on other cars that i've worked on (hondas and nissans) there was nothing blocking the front strut bolts like the tc. the rear on other cars, all i did was pull back on the side lining to expose the rear strut bolts. the tc on the other hand, you have to move a good amount of stuff around to get access to the bolts.

ok cool. so everything mechanical is the same, that's good. I have like 2k in tools, just don't like getting myself into things that take twice the amount of time i expect it to.

thanks

dude, it takes me 1.5 hours total. the only part that sucks is tearing the trunk apart.

I think the job was 3-4 hrs too. Ran into small things here and there like the tire pressure sensor, ripping the trunk apart, compressing the hell out of those springs.
