wassup guys.. i just put on the VIS ZYCLONE CF HOOD yesterday it looks hella clean.. lightweight and all.. but i live in Seattle, WA and it rains like every other day some day light rain, some days heavy, some days moderate and all.. would i be in any harm if water gets into the vents of the hood.. i check where the water would hit and it hits mostly of top of my radiator fans on the top of it (BLACK PLASTIC CORE OF THE FANS).. my wires are all wrapped up and all.. would there be any harm for me?? i noticed that now the fan dont turn on.. or does the car have to be at a certain temp. until the fans turn on?.. kinda worried.. all help is appericated. thanks y'all.... -- TC_BOI_206[/list]

I don't really have any experience with vented hoods so I can't give any solid first hand facts. But there has always been alot of debate on the subject. For one people have been saying that it's pretty hard to get water into the electric system with the position of the vent. The only other thing maybe you'd notice is maybe rust on the header possibly.

Even with all of the debates and information that has been posted about rain & vents, I have never seen/read about someone First hand having serious problems with their hood in the rain. Mostly speculations. Plus most vented hoods have rain guards to funnel the water.

But like I said I've never owned one so I can't say too much about it, but from what I've seen/read (and with the hundreds of cars with vented hoods on the roads today), I wouldn't worry too much about it. And the fans have a temperture sensor that will automatically turn it on or off when needed.

Edit: Also there are a few people on SL that has the VIS Zyclone hood on their TCs and there has been no mentions about water problems.
