The only changes are that it's lowered with some Megan springs, cheap-o foglights, and a tow hitch. :D (Keep the OMG you TOWED! comments to yourself)

We camped for the night at Table Mountain which is right across the road from Mountain High Ski Resort. The xB did great towing the trailer up the long grades of the 14, and didn't have any trouble the whole climb up to 7,000 feet. I don't think it would be as easy to do with an automatic though...downshifting made it a whole lot easier in some sections. Round trip it was over 200 miles.

Nice I like the basket on the rack. Also I think that it is great that you were able to tow the trailer with it. I have thought of trying it but the wifes escape works really well for that for now....

This is such a perfect topic with great pics since Memorial Day is this weekend! I'll be going camping this weekend in Wisconsin myself...

Not really no. There were some sections where I had to dip down to 3rd for a few seconds, but even when climbing out of the 100 degree desert with the air on she stayed nice and cool.

Really, all it takes is common sense. I stayed below 65 and made sure I wasn't holding up any traffic, and tried to anticipate any braking so that I had plenty of space to do it safely. Other than the incline reverse issue that caused the clutch to get hot (which was more my fault since I should have just unhitched and rolled it into place from the beginning) we didn't encounter anything out of the ordinary.

Default my first post

Thats cool man, I wonder why everyone thinks you need an F-350 just to tow anything. This is my first post, just got an 06.

I like the ride height and wheel size balance on your ride. Whats the spring drop and wheel size?

Thanks...we have a roof box, snowboard racks and bike racks too that rotate on and off depending on what activity we're doing.
