Default Hello people

Well...I had seen a black box yesterday getting onto 167 N at 180th...and it had a SL sticker and a team ascension sticker on it. Reminded me to check in here.

I haven't really been up to much. Less than 4 months now for the wedding. Coming quick.

Other than that. Same old stuff. The s2000 is still in stock form. The stuff I want to do to it is just so dang expensive. I really want the ASM widebody kit...but that would cost me about $30,000. Yah...that's not a typo either. 30 grand. Crazy.

Anyway. Just wanted to say hi. Hope things are going okay for everyone. I don't really know anyone anymore. Only a hand full of people that are still around from the old days.

JDM stuff for the S2k is insanely overpriced. There is a TON of stuff out there that is quality and beautiful to get, just not "JDM"... I have Seibon and Cusco stuff out on my radar that

The reality is that there's not that much you "need" to do, as it's already plain beautiful and performance wise, not really able to "tweak" for much more power... FI is the only reasonable way to go for those hungry for more, but I see no reason to "need" more power... plenty enough to get us all into a bunch of trouble.

Yah. The problem is that I don't really know the direction that I want to go with the car. I kind of want to get back into the show scene. But then I start to think back to all the BS that went with it. But then I think...I want to turn it more into a track car. I've been doing some autocross events with it, and want to get out and do some road racing. But if I turn it into a track car, it'll go all the way. Which means not really street-able.

I don't know. I guess i'll worry about that after the wedding. Gotta pay for that first.

BTW - I've heard great things so far about the new Kraftwerks SC that Oscar Jackson has out. They don't have it for the AP1 yet, but they should be taking pre-orders soon.

I'm not going the show direction with a S2K or a Honda for sure, if you don't have over 50K to spend on your honda, it's almost impossible to compete with a S2k, or in many shows, Honda Make for that matter...

Plus, Shows are gold painted plastic collection points for those who win... and the plastic ends up in your closet or gathering dust... I've got a lot of useless plastic in my closet currently. I'm now convinced that shows are about who has the most money or most connections to innundate a car with the most modifications and "Bling", with little to no real benifit economically, or life wise...

Tracking a S2k would be fun, but so sad to brutalitize it... Add some nice suspension and chassis stiffening components and it'd be plain fun to drive on the track, I'd just enjoy tracking it for the experience.

I'm just about making it nifty looking for fun spirited driving and trips... And it sounds nifty as well... I've got the Fujita CAI and T1R front strut x-Brace on her, along with the S-techs and it sounds beautiful and corners noticably nicer...

I'll be working with Nick on Tinting reflectors and painting here and there and eventually may slap a hood and wing on her for fun... Going to pick up a cusco 5-point just cause it looks wonderful and stiffens the back a bit too... couldn't hurt in a roll over (god forbid) as well, as the stock bars are at my head level and the bars are a few inches higher.

We'll see... but I'm not going to spend a bunch, as it's just plain fun and nice to drive stock really.

Yep, two and a half weeks

Reception is just over a month away. It's crazy how fast it comes up on you.
