Default xD Newbie

Hey guys, I just recently ordered an xD from my dealership and I should be getting it by Monday. I found these forums today and wanted to see what's up here. I probably should have done some research here before ordering all that I did but here's what I got:
2008 Magnetic Gray Metallic Scion xD
Vehicle Stability Control
Rear Bumper Protector
Pioneer Premium Audio Upgrade
TRD Lowering Springs
TRD Shocks and Struts Kit
TRD Rear Sway Bar

I probably checked with you guys to see if it was worth ordering all the TRD parts instead of getting my own aftermarket later. I liked the fact that they are covered under warranty since I got them with the car but they are probably more expensive than some aftermarket stuff. Was it all worth it?

I've got the springs and sway bar and I'd say they're worth it. Enjoy your new car!

Congratulations! I just put down a deposit for the same color. I should be getting it in about 3-4 weeks. I saw the color on a matrix at the lot in the bright sun....it is an awesome color!

Anyhow, this website has been great! I've been reading so much the last 2-3 days. Thank you everyone!

I ordered the following:

manual transmission
car mats/cargo mat
bumper cover
spoiler
cargo cover - however, I am retracting this from the order. Can get it for $95 less shipped to door from www.trdsparks.com

I will also be ordering the TRD rear sway bar from them too. From what others said, and the instructions, it looks pretty easy to install (fiance's job...lol). It will save me about $95, over ordering it thru the dealer. I am also thinking about the arm rest from http://zetaproducts.net/index.asp?Pa...ROD&ProdID=330.

thanks for the congrats;
I forgot to mention it was manual transmission.

jmbreeze I was debating whether to get the spoiler and I ended up not getting it. Is it hard to order parts from the dealership later on?
also that armrest looks handy, I just hope it's good quality.

one more thing (sorry haha): do we have many choices as far as intake, header, and exhaust options?
I was actually going to get a Honda Fit before I decided on the xD and the Fit had many options for air flow mods.

I am a newbie, too. I picked up my Barcelona Red XD last week. I love it!

I highly recommend TRD for accessories. You can save so much money buying from them. I got the cargo cover, cargo net, bumper cover, and cabin air filter from them at a fraction of the cost of the dealership.

I don't imagine it is hard to order from the dealer later. I am not sure if the Scion pricing on their website includes installation, or if that is extra.

As far as exhaust/intake/header, I am not the person to ask. All I will probably do is add a K&N filter and drive the car. I'd maybe read in this section to see what others have done: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=277

Hope this helps!

Yup, TRDsparks.com has a great price on the reusable TRD air filter as well as the in-cabin air filter (which I couldn't seem to find anywhere else...except the dealer).
