Seat belt problem
Whenever I start my car facing up a hill, even just a tiny incline, the seat belt is locked, nearly 99% of the time. This leads to me driving a block or two because I'm not able to put the belt on. For some reason it remains locked until I get to level ground, and even after I get to level ground it still takes a minute. Someone wanna tell me if this has happened to them? If its normal? If its not, then how do I fix it?
Don't quote me on this (rather, quote Richard Hammond since he's the one I learned this from via a TV show he hosts on the Science Channel). There is a heavy ball that sits inside a larger hemispherical cup sort of thing and whenever that ball moves in a direction, it also travels up the side of this "cup" making it hit a lever sort of thing, jamming it into a fixed gear, hence, locking the seatbelt. So with this in mind it sounds like the lever is a smidge weak. Might be something to look into fixing, and although I've never done it, it seems like a somewhat easy fix if you have small hands.
