i have noticed that every time i wash the car, for 2-3 days afterwards, water still comes out of the interface area between the spoiler and the lift back leaving ugly stripes down the hatchback and puddling on the bumper, leaving water spots.

has anyone else noticed this? is it common or should i take it to the dealer to re-seal the area?

I use a duster can to get all the water out...It helps me atleast

 

I took my ped spoiler off and removed the double sided tape the factory has on the bottom. I then run RV sealant underneath to seal it, and haven't had the "weeping wing" problem since.

My guess is the double sided tape soaks up water. Then it slowly leaks out over the next couple of days.

Its common. I hate it even more when you open the back and it drips down the back window. Just keep a bottle of quik detailer handy.

 

Yep spray detailer is your friend.
