we got it for about 29k so pretty far off on that. as for the manual issue i know i know but it is all they offer, its one of those new dual clutch tranmissions like they use on the new evo x mr and most of the ferraris and lambos. i am happy with it. a stick wasn't really practical for me since most of U.T.'s campus is on step road and parallel parking would be a _____ with a stick. the transmission is butter smooth though
yikes i hope thats an exaggeration, i avoid the gtis b/c i had heard some horror stories of intercooler pipes falling off. it was nice though that car and driver rated it better than the new sti and it lost out to the evo x but 2 out of the 3 said they would rather have it as their car
nope which is why i am going to catch a whole lot of flak
i was planning on going to LSU or Georgia Tech but my parents wanted me to go to UT @ knoxville so this was a bribe and between scholarships and instate i am going for free

I definitely dig the R32. Before I bought my tC I was contemplating getting an 06/07 GTI, but after hearing all the horror stories of friends that owned stock turbo Jettas and then VW's lack of willingness to do anything but sit on their rears to try and warrant anything as a manufacturer defect was just mind-boggling.
A week later I went to the Scion dealership across the street and the level of salesmanship and customer service was far superior to anything else I've ever experienced when it came to shopping for cars. Haven't been happier!
Don't mean to deter you or anything. I am still envious of your car. I bet it would fit me better too being as that I'm 6'5".

yea i thinkit is kind of a regional thing, my scion dealership was pretty bad, the service department would never balance my tires properly and there will always be oily hand prints somewhere on the car after they change the oil. at the vw dealership they are all pretty good at what they do and they also payed for a new front bumper b/c the one i have now have the license plate holes even though TN doesn't require then
