I've got a Sony mp3 deck, two 10" Rockford subs in a sealed box, Rockford amp.

The mids/tweets are stock, since they sound pretty damn good up front anyway.

However... in my opinion, the rear speaker position sucks. With bass in the "trunk", you can barely hear the highs, which easily distort and are almost no help in getting good sound to back seat passengers.

I tried to have some 6.5" Bostons put in the rear doors, but the install guy said the mounting job would look like ____, due to the strange shape of the rear door panels.

Anyone mount rear door speeks that don't look ghetto?

Jason, any competent shop can fab up some new panels/mounts and blend them into the doors once its covered in the fabric you desire.

 

I guess I should have mentioned... I don't want to break the bank. I've been told a custom job could cost as much as $1000 *PER DOOR*!!! - Youch. No thanks. Does this sound realistic to you?

i have speakers on my back panel..... you just have to know the right spot to mount it.......i can get the measurements or pics of mine if you want to see......it look cool mounting is easy too.

For a custom look you are probably looking at around 250 to 300 per door if you want them like ikon's much less . Let me know . Bill
