Default What constitutes emissions control systems??

I am just trying to get the tip on my RS 2.0 muffler warrantied like many others on here. I am at 48,000 miles so I am past the normal warranty but still within the California Emissions warranty. (I live in CA.)

Does the muffler qualify as part of the emissions control system?

Thanks

No it does not. Anything after Catalytic Conv is not emission related. In fact you can cut off the exhaust right after the Cat and still be Smog legal in Cali (noise regulation is a different issue though).
