Default smoke/tint lights

i want to smoke/tint (i dont know which term is preferred) my headlights and tail lights but i have a couple questions.

1. is this legal in texas? i was told when i got my windows tinted that it is illegal.

2. where and how dark can i get it done?

answers:

1) go online to your local law book for texas and look it up or ask someone around you that deals with law

2) i think it depends on your local laws.

I speak from experience in Texas. I had mine really dark in the back. You will probably have to take them off in order to pass a safety inspection, depending on how dark you go.

The spray is better for the taillights b/c you can go however dark you want. You can also wetsand and clear them for a really great shine.

For the headlights, the spray will bubble due to the heat of the bulb. Go with vinyl up front. Depending on how dark you go, you might need HIDs. I went with Rockblocker dark smoke and could barely see with the stock bulbs. HIDs solved that problem
