Default CAI for 2009

I was looking on-line for a CAI and all of the sites only have the 2008 spec'd. The local dealer said for the 2009 if I didn't get the TRD intake the vehicle warrantee would be worthless.

I was looking at the Injen SP2106P. Any thoughts if it will work or toast my warrantee? Am I stuck waiting until the 2009 is spec’d?

Thanks.

there is no difference between the 08 and 09. the only difference is the lack of some body creaks that the early 08s have.

as for warranty its up to the dealer. the dealer can void the warrantee if it feels that the part that you installed is can affect the problem in any way. for example: if you installed a intake and your brakes go bad they cant void the warranty

Your local dealer is full of crap, they can't void your waranty because you didn't buy a TRD CAI & use another brand. The only reason they told you that so you would purchase through them for a rediculous amout.

If for some reason you need warranty work, they have to prove that the aftermarket part was the cause of the failure.

I thought the dealer was a a scammer. He needs a lesson.

Do you think I'm good to go with the Injen sp2106p that says it fits the 2008?

It's boasting 12hp gain.

You will be fine The 09 xB is the same as the 08 xB No changes. 08 xB intake will fit and work with no problem. Injen is def a great company im going with the Tenzo R cause it's less in price and gonna work the same as the injen in the Long Run. Both have there owen Version of a Tuned intake.

im running the Injen CAI on my 08 and im happy with it.

As for the TRD CAI, trd actually replaced the 08 part number with a new one for 09.

went from something like PTR03-52090 to PTR03-52091. Some stupid supersession number that means nothing really. Both part numbers fit both years, you wont have any problems.

OK....

I just ordered the Injen CAI (First Mod)!!!! :D

New Level Motorsports was running a pretty good deal. Lowest price I saw plus $20 off promotion.

The best part is it will be delivered on my wedding anniverary.

Happy anniversary baby!!

Any advice out there for the install?

Don't do it the night of your anniversary, unless your wife suggests it.

Does the 2009 TRD CAI have a CARB EO#?

This pic specifically shows the '08 part #.

Since the '09 has a different part #, does it have a CARB EO #?

I don't know about the TRD carb # since I went Injen. Ir is not CARB approved, but then again NC isn't a CARB state.
