Default Factory Radio (baseline) RCA outputs?

Ok, I've actually searched the forum and the web in general... sorry if I just missed it, but does the factory radio have RCA outputs for an amp or am I going to need to pickup a converter before I install my amp?

I'm kinda sure I'll have to buy something but there's a little voice in my head that keeps telling me I heard something about the radio coming with the ports necessary to hook up an amp.. maybe that was the premium radio though. Thanks guys!

Base model NO RCA outputs... you have to get a line out converter...

Im running the Pioneer upgrade With a Kenwood 1,000 Watt mono amp and 2 12" Sony p5 Subs. Love it to death.

Just upgrade to an aftermarket head unit. More features, and the sound quality will be better.

Thanks again for the responses all. And that's a pretty clean setup, Drew.

That's similar to what I'm doing... with my tC I had a really big budget to play with and did everything the "right" way. This time... I have a little girl on the way come December and so my budget for playing with my car is limited.

I've got an Elemental Designs custom box, 13Kv2 and Kenwood 500/1 amp I'm going to put in to get some bass going first. After that, then I'll invest in a good HU and some components. Sad but true... though I'm getting older, I'll be damned if I don't have SOME respectable bass in my car.

I'll post pics when I get it installed.. still awaiting the box build.
