ditto. I drove through a nasty butt puddle yesterday that flooded one of my fog lights. Got condensation now. I just turned my fog lights on now, I'm gonna leave them on for a bit. Im hoping they heat up the housing so that the condensation evaporates and leaves the housing since the housing isn't sealed via the High pressure to low pressure principle. Well see how it works.

It's probably because the rubber boot isn't sealed completely around the bulb housing.

The fog lights aren't sealed, they have that little nipple thats not sealed that goes into the housing. You cant get them to be sealed all the way

btw. Seems to be working for me. I had them on for about 5 min and most of the condensation has evaporated. I'm sure another 5 min and it should be done.

I have VRDs so I know what they look like. There's been posts before about condensation being inside these fogs and 9 times out of 10 it was because the rubber boot wasn't on as far as it could go.

if you have the VRDs you can take a look yourself.

you see that rubber tube to the right of the lamp jack/place w/e you call it. Now take a look at your VRDs from the outside looking through the lense. you see that little hole towards the top left of the lamp? That hole goes to the rubber tube which goes outside meaning the lights are not sealed.

The boot on the VRDs is different. It actually goes on the outside of the circular part where the bulb goes into the housing. The wires on the VRDs also come through the boot so I wasn't arguing that the lights are completely sealed. Just that, on the VRDs at least, if the boot isn't completely on that circular part, its possible for moisture to get in.
