Sometimes when I start driving my xD, the temp light (letter C with a temp gauge) stays illuminated for about one minute. It usually happens when my car has been parked in the sun. Hot lava too hot?

I read through my manual but don't remember this being mentioned. Anyone?

 

It is normal for the letter C/ temp gauge to come on in green when you start up the vehicle (It means low engine coolant temperature)- if the red one comes on and flashes then the engine is too hot and may overheat
(see owner's manual page 100)

 

perhaps we need to make one of the thousands of threads on this topic a sticky, maybe even put it in the terms/agreements when you first sign up for the forum, or have you enter the correct page number this is covered on in the manual to submit your registration...

pfft yea why would we need any of that, us xD owners love chaos and the same post 15 times apparently. I've tried desperately but SL doesn't seem to care.

 

Just hit the "Report this post to mods" and ask it to be removed. There is a search feature and it works very well.

Glad I didn't see this post first or I would've been called mean for pointing out the fact that we are given manuals with our cars.
