View Full Version : camber plates DonNguyen 08-07-2008, 09:20 PM anyone know if any company makes camber plates for our cars? i'd rather run camber plates and camber bolts... etoomey3 08-07-2008, 10:42 PM BUMP, tried to find some for the longest time, my coilovers came w/them, so I stopped looking, anyone??!! engifineer 08-07-2008, 11:47 PM Wild Pony motorsports made a set of Don Gardner... you could try them. I would rather have plates as well, but I am running bolts right now. I would much rather be able to run -3 degrees of camber or so up front at autox events and then drop it to -2 after. DonNguyen 08-07-2008, 11:59 PM i tried calling them but it went to the machine... BlkTC 08-19-2008, 02:04 PM bump!! i need some as well! davedavetC 08-19-2008, 02:10 PM if you find them let me know, ask if they will work with coil over set ups that come with the top mounts already installed :P ie HKS Hypermax coil overs :P DonNguyen 08-19-2008, 03:22 PM i talked to Tein and they weren't sure about my coilovers...and they wanted 240...i dont wanna pay that much for something that i'm not sure would work... 2fast4you 08-19-2008, 10:58 PM i tried calling them but it went to the machine... Call them back. Right now they're the only place to buy them for the tC. DonNguyen 08-28-2008, 10:09 PM just called and its 350 for stage 2 and 430 for full race engifineer 08-28-2008, 11:24 PM A bit steep.. but the only ones :) How many degrees do you get out of stage 2? DonNguyen 08-28-2008, 11:32 PM i think its 0-3 degrees engifineer 08-28-2008, 11:44 PM hmmmm I will see what I can do as well.. some searching, some calling, some emailing.... maybe an idea.. DonNguyen 08-29-2008, 07:55 PM i had talked to Tein about trying to get a hold of their pillowballs, but they were unsure about whether or not it would work with TRD/Progress coilovers...and at $250, i didn't want to risk it... also note that the Wild Pony camber plates have issues with the TRD/Progress ones as well and they are trying to figure out a solution... engifineer 08-30-2008, 03:32 PM Still waiting to hear back on some things. I am told I may have some info by early next week. Maybe a decent price on some good plates if it pans out, but we will see. DonNguyen 09-02-2008, 06:11 PM hopefully something at more of a reasonable price comes along engifineer 09-02-2008, 09:20 PM I am still checking in on it. Was supposed to hear something today regarding it. Well, actually, it was being asked about in a meeting today, so it may be a bit before I hear anything. DonNguyen 09-02-2008, 11:08 PM cool. thanks engifineer 09-05-2008, 03:26 AM Got a bit more info today. As you and others have run into, there are fitment issues when trying to make kits fit both the stock and aftermarket struts. The reason is that some aftermarkets use different thread pitches and shaft diameters than OEM. This is being worked on and a group buy looks to be on the horizon, but not until they can ensure the plates will work with the different types of struts. I will be hearing something as soon as this is worked out, so hopefully we can get enough people to support a decent group buy. DonNguyen 09-05-2008, 06:16 PM i'd be in if the price is right... |
