i think they mean the module that by passes the immobilizer. You use your valet key to by pass the immobilizer

im a installer for best buy you can go two different ways
1. a bypass mod made by directed electronics XK05 its a programable one for toyota and ext. ...... $80.00
2. give them a extra key to put into the 556UW also made by directed electronics. its a box that the key goes (interface module) ......... $53.00
what they do is trick the car into thinking the your key is present when you remote start the car because their is a chip in the key head... if you use the second one you should have three keys cause your never gonna get the one back untill you take the remote start out. the labor is included in the purchase prise when you buy it from best buy but its about $140 on top of the unit for one of the parts above and to install the part plus relays. the unit goes for $499.00 and if you already have the unit then the labor to install it is $199.00 plus the $140.00. the benifits to having best buy do it is that they guarantee the work for the life that its in the vehicle plus we will remove it for free when you get rid of the vehicle........ good luck!!!
