Default look what fell off my Tc

This fell off,I was wondering if it will do anything for power, maybe rocket me into the 10 second quarter miles maybe.
Atleast give me a nice "tone" from the fender ?

Is there ANYTHING TO GAIN BY DOING THIS,I did it on my 87 mustang a few years ago and it RUMBBLED THE FENDER BAD AZZZ like "wwooooooooopp"

stock Tc with 5ooo miles only, just got a reminder from a cobra mustang that i still like sporty cars

Yes, removing that would usually only net you about a 1hp increase, but since it "fell" off then its going to get you at least 100hp.

it came off because it is supposed to! who the heck leaves the stock intake on the tc? you need a turbo or supercharger, or at least a cold air or short ram intake! lol.

No i took it off...and was east,1 minute job...yes YEARS ago i had a mustang lx 5.0....and did the same thing...it made a nice noise when you floored it...the fender itself made a nice WOOOO noise....just like flipping the aircleaner on a older carburater car wooooooooo noise.

i know it womt do a damm thing for power, just realy wondering about check engine lights and "things" i have had cars that have air sensors there and flaps even to aid in warming up the car on cold days.... any worries about trouble codes ?

yes, superchargers and turbos rule... I LOVE TURBOS (older cars again)

I'm gunna find out rite now if it sets a code.

That thing connects from your stock intake box into the fender. All it does is bring the air thats inside the fender into the intake (like a CAI)... i removed mine a few months after getting my tC and it gives a slight increase in the hum of your engine.

If you want your car to sound like it has an intake just drill a bunch of holes in the bottom of your airbox and it will get throaty.

I just updated my signature,take a look ,lots of pics,email updated also....its been about a year...sorry.

I drove it and its SLIGHTLYnoticable, only to me im sure...im done playing....i may just stick it back on after i chop it down so the end is still in the fender...water can get in i think between the hood and fender there.

It does give a tone though, just something no big deal realy.

This is a deaily driver and im not looking to change anything big...just playing...I have a SLIGHT tone now. for free too...

well considering it's the "cold air" part of your stock intake...

(eyah.... it's what makes the stock airbox draw air from the inside of the fender where it's cooler...)

hmm... probably a change...
better? perhaps not really.

Ya, like Squall is saying, if anything it might hurt your performance (but not the sound). You're not pulling air more from the hot engine bay - compared to the cooler air from the fender.

I agree with that....All it did is make a "tone"....not even loud .
it gave a dead quiet car some tone thats all...only i would notice.

I will say that the "horn" gets smaller as it goes into the fender, the airbox has a larger hole if the motor needed it.

no service codes also...that was what i was wondering.....seems to be a cool modification....just pull it out and push it out the plastic wheel opening. and the price was just rite for me..

have a good week
