I purchased the factory floor mats and after having driven 5K, there is a hole in the floor mats where my heel is for the accelarator. Can I get a new set for free?
I have never had this problem with every Toyota I have ever owned. Thoughts?

you should. Bumper-to-bumper warranty should cover floormats. The mats are better as rubber mats in my opinion (toss the furry top) so if you're too lazy to go to the dealer that's another option.

I doubt you will get covered for that. Comprehensive or "Bumper to Bumper" warranty as they say is not all inclusive. It does not include wear items such as brake pad wear, tire wear, fluid refills and such. I'm fairly certain that most dealerships will not replace your mat. Floor mat wear i think falls in the category of excluded wear items. No where does the product description suggest that floor mats will last any specific duration of time or wear.
But who knows... haha.. may some really really nice guy workin at the dealership will sign off on it. But i doubt it... cuz the dealerships probalby won't get reimbursed from corporate.

I few months back people were complaining about worn mats. They contacted the dealer and it was included. Remember, anything you purchase from the dealer is included in the warranty. Floor mats were an optional add-on. Thus they are covered. Call, complain, make an appt. If they don't help you go higher up. Also before anyone asks, the census so far is that they remove and replace all the mats, and you don't get to keep the old ones.
