Brake pad questions
Where can I get the OEM ones? I've searched and searched and I cannot find any. How much do shops charge for getting it replaced and how hard is it to do it myself? thanks =)
I'm really not sure how much the OEM pads are. You may want to PM trdsparks here on the forums and see what they would charge for them. Usually a better price than your local dealer. As for better pads, depends on what you do with the car and how much the OEM pads turn out to be.
dude... it's cake. take the wheels off n like one bolt.. slide that caliper up.. boom bam switch out the pads.. well you gotta push the piston in and ur done.. um.. yeah that wasn't a DIY... but a genereal pic.. if you don't care about name brand just go to kragen or autozone.
I just changed mine 2000 miles ago and i use to worked for a parts delivering company and i bought Centric Posi Quiet one of our best selling pads and they are gr8 price is cheap and changing the pads themselves id say 2-3 difficulty out of 10.
Here's a link to our home page. The TRD Brake pads are in the Sport parts menu on the left and the OEM pads are in menu on the right side. Every part is discounted. Please let me know if you have any questions.
