Default Scion Security vs. Viper

My neighborhood is in the craphole...my car was robbed followed by my house. A few nights ago I seen a guy standing right next to my car looking inside. He's probably after the DVD system and PS2.

I have a $250 voucher from Scion that I have. I'm in dire need of a security system. Which is better - Scion security or a Viper system? I'm looking at the Viper 5900 from here. Also looking at the 7900 system. Any recommendations? I'm very low on money so nothing too expensive...[/url]

The Scion is very basic... and not exactly "cheap." I don't know how much the Viper systems are... but if you can, you might be better off with one of those. I'm not really sure...

i have the viper 5900 and it does the job pretty well. dont know how well the scion security is but i heard it kinds sucks lol. i would go with viper if i was you comes with the 2 way so you know when someone is trying to steal your stuff. the system cost me like 230 shipped i think and like 70 bucks for install. its worth the investment of a alarm.

well, I have zenesis an completely love it man. i can't say that might better than x or y, but it has a lot of features. i think there's a special going on for like $250 and u'll be spending about $125 on the install.
Just search zenesis and u'll see all the neat features it comes with.
My favorite is the unlocking combo pad on the windshield. There has been like three or four occasions that my wife locked the keys inside the car and I was able to open it with the 4 digit combo.
sencond would be the range of the 2 way, I can rest assure that everytime I go to the movies I'm able to keep in contact with my car from any movie room I'm at. That buddy is peace of mind that not every alarm can give u, if it warns u of something just run outside and check on ur car. Of course it is up to u to set the sensitivity to ur taste.

first: take off what can be an eye candy to thieves, then get the Viper. i have the 791vx, which my cuz gave it to me for $100 and installed for $80. its a 2 way page and you can add on other stuff to it... like, an extra tilt sensor, or extra siren inside, or a motion sensor inside the car.
oh, and try to carry a pocket size pepper spray since you are a female.. not trying to be a sexist, but they tend to prey on females most of the time. especially if you look like they can take on easily.

I got the Viper and it is a great system....Best Buy does free install if you buy from them....think I paid $250 for it.

If I could of found the zenisis in stock at the time I got the alarm I would of gottne it instead.....just for the knock part.....it is awsome.

Yea I have the scion security.

But, i'm probably going to go with viper or zenesis.

I've had a few people eye my car up close,
so i've gotten to be a little paranoid >.<

I'm looking to spend $500 max for the system and install. Any recommendation?
