voided warranty
I went to Valvoline to get my oil changed the other day and they did not yet have any of the xD oil filters in stock. Something about the car being too new. Anyway, they told me I would need to go to the dealer. If I take my xD to the dealer w/ an aftermarket intake or a diy intake, will they make a note and void the warranty? Should I switch back to stock intake before I go to the dealer?
Look up the Magnuson-Moss act. It basically states a warranty cannot be automatically voided due to a modification. The modification has to be at fault for the warranty to be "void".
For example:
You have a aftermarket suspension that's super low (let's say 2"+). If any of the connect suspension components go out, it may not be covered. This wouldn't effect... let's say... your radio's warranty in any way.
If in doubt, ask the forum though.
