Hey guys...I was at work today and bored so I took out my gauge bezel and painted it to match the silver in the stock waterfall. What do you think? I am also painting the two very outer air vent shrouds (just the outside trim of them, not the horizontal fins in the middle).

Be careful. I've seen it in person and it's a bit too much silver IMHO. You should paint the 'Sail' pieces
(the plastic piece opposite the side mirrors). I've done it and it looks real nice and subtle.
Oh yeah, what you did paint looks good.

 

ya...we'll see..I already have em primed so it's too late to not do it but no biggie...I think it will be fine. I can see what you mean though. I am definitely NOT doing any more than those three pieces.

Painted mine too. That's the only thing though. And like Hyghgynx said it may be too much accent coloring with the silver trim around the vents. I say leave it as is..

i hoenstly wouldnt do the air vents.
like it was already said, its just to much, makes the interior really busy and kinda ricey.

 

aren't the door handles already silver like that?........i have an 08 and mine are silver.

 

Got my air vents done....will take pics of them installed soon. They turned out very well. They look awesome in the car. Definitely not too much at all. Just enough. I am not doing the little circle defrost vents. Just these 3 pieces (gauge cluster and 2 vents).

 

No. 'o5-'o7 handles are that charcoal color. I would DIE for some 'o8 handles fo' sho'!!! (Anybody know where to get some?)

I'm still debating about replacing the OEM fabric with silver suede.

 

those sail pieces are about the biggest accent piece tothe interior to be missed and painted.........did mine on my SCM and it looks like it was meant to be there painted....the vents are a bit too much accent and short of a good paint job they might look too out of place.

 

no the '08 handles are still the darker grey/charcoal color...

those 'sail' pieces look great! I would never have considered painting those but now I'm definatly considering...

Not true...here's a pic of an 08's interior..as you can see the door handle is silver:

 

o wow! okay firstly i was confused I thought we were arguing about weather or not the handles matched the darker silver (and calling it charcoal) on the two sides of the water fall or the silver of the middle of the water fall. I have an 08 and my handles are the darker silver and I assumed all tCs were like that... I had no idea that earlier years had handles that are actually charcoal (ie matching the cluster bezel or dashboard)!!!! Wow this is actually a huge surprise to me I feel so dumb haha

 

lol...I can see how you got confused. No big deal..I'm just glad that ours has the silver handles!

lol gosh if I had known that others wanted them I would have traded and painted a charcoal set reather then my 08 silver set which I already painted, whoops... lol
