A few days ago, while I was applying touch up paint to my rock chips I accidentally opened up the lid and spilled a little bit on the side of my car. I tried washing it off but some of it stuck and it now looks like it was finger painted by my 3 year old.

Does anybody have any idea on how I could safely remove it?

 

Try a solvent used to prep a surface before painting. Wipe it on with clean rag and kinda rub a bit. Should come off. This stuff goes by different names like Kleenz EZ etc.. Should be able to find it at a NAPA or the like. It won't harm your paint but will strip all your wax off so you will need to rewax.
