Default Now we're a two Scion family, Gray xD Pics inside - 56k Warn

I've had my xA for 2 years now and we looked at lot of different cars for my sons but went back to Scion for the xD especially when we saw the Magnetic Gray with 17" wheels and spoiler just sitting there waiting for us. I know we could have gotten wheels cheaper but they just seem to be made for each other. The 225/45 ZR 17 Pirelli's are very nice. We looked at several RS1's but this one just hit everyone like that's the one right there. We test drove a Vibe and a Matrix, I'd take the xD over either one. The interior of the Vibe and the Matrix was awful, especially the dash.

The brand is Enkei but I searched and searched and couldn't find the model for you...Maybe the OP will let you know they sign back on...

Been away for a few days. The wheels are the 17" option from Scion. I just know they're Enkei. This is how it's listed as an option:

I have never been aware of Scion offering a wheel brand other than TRD.

Did you buy your scion used, and it came with the wheels, or did the dealer sell you those enkei wheels?

I'm really confused as i have never heard of enkei wheels as a "dealer" option. I suppose anything is possible if you dealer deals in aftermarket wheels as well as cars.
Anyone else have this or any other brand of wheel offered from a dealer?

I sure wish i had, i'd much rather have financed some nicer wheels off the bat (but not TRD) rather thaqn wait to buy my own.

The dealer sells other wheels than just TRD. I've always seen at least 6 or 8 different wheel options in the dealers around me. Why wouldn't they have more of a variety? They ARE after your money you know

GEESH, well, MY dealer didnt offer me anything fun or fancy, or anything other than TRD.
Actually I AM surprised.
Yes it makes sense that they want your money, but in an authorized scion/toyota dealer, the fact that they offer you competitors products, DOES surprise me.

I KNOW that the guys selling you your car arent stupid, and they know that you are likely to buy a competitors product to mod you car, BUT, what surprises me is that scion/toyota would allow that kind of thing to happen, someone pushing another brand (aftermarket product or not) in a "genuine" toyota/scion showroom.

Were the products you're describing being sold in an apparent "authorized" dealer? or did you buy your car from a "Joe's Tuner Rides" on the corner?

EDIT: Yes I DO know that scion does condone aqnd promote other brands through tthe optomizescion.com catalog of products but i've never seen other wheel brands. I just took a quick look.

The wheels were on the window sticker. From what I understand this type thing is installed at the port where they come in from Japan. My wife and I are sorta car nuts and when we saw the xD sitting there out front at the dealer we knew it was bound to be the one. We took them down to the dealer when they got in from college and they both agreed it was the one. The wheels made the car! We had looked at a Matrix also but no way it just not a Scion that's for sure, it seemed very cheap on the inside plus some other things we didn't like.

>"your sons are very lucky!"

Well they're Grandfather past away this summer and left us 2 vehicles one that we wanted to keep and a truck that we felt would best used to get them something to take to college instead of the '91 Explorer, with 232K miles on it, that they had been using before they talked me into letting them drive my xA for a few weeks, I had to have it back, I missed it. We traded the truck and it was almost an even trade.

I went to go look at some xDs and found that they offer the enkei wheels here too (On the car and included on the sticker price as a option). It might depend on where you are or what dealership it is though.

The rims look really good btw.
