Meaning will the Steering wheel controls and Ipod jack still work?

 

Anyone know for sure? Need to know before I purchase

 

it deff works for tCs i don't see why not on the boxes.....

So the 06 premium works in an 08 TC??? I had talked to a dealer rep today and she said it wouldn't work....

I would hate to fork out the $$ and have it come back as not working for the steering and ipod jacks.... I thought it would if it was 06 and up because I thought the 06's had steering controls and ipod jacks.....

Now I am totally confused!

 

give me a model number and/or a part number and i'll do some research. i think the '06 premium deck looks unlike any other scion/pioneer deck...so i'm not sure.

ive got the 08 HU in my 06 and "everything" still works

 

But this would be opposite....an 06 in an 08? That is where they say it won't work because they said the stereo for 06 was different than 08?

 

ok.......................
the 06 and 08 HU is the same size and all the plugs on the back are the same and both bolt up the same. i have had both HUs in my hand at the same time.
only difference is one of the plugs is upsidedown and the 06 doesn't have the 3 pre amp output.

left is 06 premium and right is 08 premium
the red circle is the plug that is flipped, its still the same just flipped.

 

Sweet so as long as I am not planning on putting in Amps it should be fine?

I just wanted to be sure my steering controls and ipod jacks would still work That was my main concern. No biggie on the amps
