Default Custom fiberglassed interior pieces - submit your ideas

All,

I'm going to be doing quite a bit of custom fiberglassing within the next couple of months (once my move to Las Vegas is complete), and I'd like to know what you guys want to see produced, as far as custom interior mods.

I know speaker pods/kick panels are popular, but I generally stay away from those (although I'm toying with the idea of an angled speaker pod/rack in the stock door positions for better sound imaging).

Once I make the molds, I'll produce and sell the pieces on a per-order basis. So let those ideas roll in... Dash panels; center console paneling/instrument holders (ipods, etc).

I'm going to build a sub box in the right or left corner of the trunk, which will be easily removable to access to the spare tire. Again - once I build the molds, I'll build the projects on a per-order basis. Not going to charge a crazy amount. Just enough to cover some materials and some of my time. If you want to submit a draft or drawing, go for it.

I like the idea. What I think would be the most sought item would be the sub box you mention. Maybe a couple different molds for that would be good for different variations: 10"/12" driver, different airspaces to meet everyone's needs.

great idea,
i think the sub box would be the most popular item, depending on how much you could get it off for. i know bassforms does a .6cf one for 235, but its only a 10in. producing one for a 12in driver (1cf) would be awesome =] ...something i would be interested in haha

another thing, something to hold a bluetooth. currently i either toss mine in one of the cupholders or the changebox. the latter usually scratches it up, and the former gets in the way of a drink. also, cellphone holder too. definitely wouldnt mind sticking a fiberglass cellphone/bluetooth holder into one of the cupholders

good luck! wish i had the time and patience to do stuff like this

I've been hearing a lot of inquiries regarding sub boxes, which is my main project (once I arrive in Vegas) to save trunk space. The stealth enclosure is nice, but you're limited with the depth of the subs. I personally like 12" subs, but I can make a mold and swap 10/12 depending on the orders.

Waterfalls would be nice there's a lot involved in those though, esp with the OEM Clip points. My main focus is keeping things looking as stock as possible, but adding your own personality to the car.

As for the sub box -- I am going to do some measurements and adjusting to see how I can get it to fit appropriately, and still save some trunk space. I want it to be easy to remove in case you need to change tail bulbs, access the spare, etc. I'll keep ya posted!

PS - About the holders; what BT do you use? I know a lot of BT's are different in size and shape, so that may limit my ability to make it widely usable. I had an adjustable PDA/Cell/BBerry holder in my Audi, so I'll see if I can track one down for a TC. If not, I'll see about making one w/ ABS plastic.
