Yeah, it needed more hammering, shaping and smoothing before paint, especially the roll of the center section and area between the back corners of the opening and the washer jets.

This hood is still in the prototype stage. Im still trying to find a scion so I can get some picture for you guys. I just created this thread to see if people like it if no one liked it was gonna get trashed but since i have some good response I am going to clean it up and send it off to get carbon fiber, thx for the response guys!

Not too big a fan of the vented hood. Keep it simple. An OEM style carbon fiber hood would look very nice and keep the clean look going

Maybe if it was a bit more subtle (the vent didn't drop so much, maybe a 1/4" lip and maybe a total of 1 inch to and inch and a half opening ) and have the lip followed the curve of the front of the hood too.

yeahh im not really feelin it, the vent is too huge..

i like the idea but it's a bit too large.

the smoothness of the hood will be taken care of when it gets molded, right now we are deciding weather it should have a frame on the bottem or double sided carbon fiber.

it looks pretty good....if you like it...then roll with it...:D

i still like the raised scoop idea....

these under scoops don't do anything for me....

I like it, but yeah, the leading edge needs to follow the curve of the hood.

if the curve of the vent had the same curve as the front of the hood i think it would look good... i think it needs some work still but that's just me...

the edge of the front vent is straight because it has to run flush with the radiator , and also the latch peice is right their.

I may be wrong and if I am someone correct me but the reverse vent is designed to pull more air through the radiator and pull it out of the engine bay. So if I am right then this concept is functional.
